This week we were told to do research on the scary subjects of legal things and licenses. I'm not really sure if I got them down, but I know how to use google, which can be helpful.     One big thing that I've been working on, and that still needs work, is my website! It's super exciting to watch the pieces fall together. I've been working on the website for a while, but I got down to picking a domain name and buying a yearly subscription, which is crazy! The domain name that my business is called is taken, but that website isn't published yet, which is good for me.  I did have some technical difficulties with the website and was with the support line for a while, it was about an hr and a half of back and forth. Ultimately, I figured it out myself, even though they concluded what I needed wasn't possible, which was simply separating my business and personal accounts. This week I'm burnt out from my website, but next week I'll be updating it more.

This week our fist assignment required us to compare the design of two sites that were related to the company we are striving to build. The next assignment asked us to create a button for when our clients checkout our item or service.       These two assignments definitely sent me down a rabbit hole of actually designing and putting together my website. It's a lot of fun, but also a lot of work. I'm also super bad at making decisions, so it has also been stressful.      I know that this is something that I probably should just work on and get it done pretty fast, but at the same time, I feel like I need to take time to step back and leave breaks in between each time I design.     I'm excited about the business I'm creating, but a little confused on how well the class is helping me progress. It leaves me thinking "hmmm, what's next?" and "how will this end?"

Throughout the week we used our quantify and compare techniques to choose a website and a company host.  Another thing that we worked on this week, and for the past couple weeks, was choosing a business to run. So lots of decision making, which isn't my strong-suit.     I was grateful for the discussion boards which talked about choosing a site builder and a hosting website because I needed to hear thoughts from other classmates about how they thought of and compared this decision making. A lot that went into my decisions had to do with a lot of research to find what was important or key things that was needed to run your business. I do feel like there's a lot that I still don't know, but I'm starting from somewhere.     When it came to choosing a business of our own, we started by exploring 20 different business ideas. Through comparing them to different key word searches where we gathered data from Google Ads, we chose the top five busines...

This week we did two more case studies! We learned about drop shipping and affiliate market. While I can't say I'm an expert on these markets, I definitely have a better grasp on what they mean. For the business I have to do this semester, I'm really considering these options, although I'm not too sure how good I would be at it. Maybe for some experimentation, I'll add one of these things as a side business along with the one that seems most demanding and successful according to a chart we filled out (which contains factors like key words, internet clicks on the subject, competition, easy of getting it running, etc).     The other case study we dove into was about comparing two things (for example, different companies). To do this, we inserted 3 different  criteras  (2 had 25% importance while 1 had 50%). We then set up equations in excel and our ratings for each critera. These numbers helped us quantify and compare different ...
