This wasn't a bad week in class, but pretty busy in my life with working through finals and a performance/ prepping for tour.     For one of our assignments we were lead to explore Google Analytics GA4. Not going to lie, but I probably wouldn't have liked this assignment as much if I did have a partner to work and explore with, in my case, this was my husband. It was pretty much a scavenger hunt that helped us understand how to look at different analytics and data. I also enjoyed then going into the discussion board and debating with others on what the right answer  were  and explaining how I got my answers.     The second assignment, I had little confidence that I was totally right on the answers I gave. I had to go to the discussion board that provided an example of what a previous student had said. The topic was about mapping out a strategy to improve your site's link profile, which is a good thing to know and learn, h...

Alright, this week has been jam packed, and I did my best to complete them right before the week began to compensate for the craziness that happened.     I created different social media accounts and started making plans for what I wanted to do and focus upon. However, I do want to use a guided format to keep working and do better at organizing my plans. I dropped the ball by the end of the week, but at the beginning of the week I was great at posting on a social media site, and managed to do multiple posts a day on most days. It was funny to see a reaction of a family member.     Along with that, I sent my first monthly emails. Even though I haven't had anyone purchase any services from my site, I did have a handful of people sign-up for my monthly email subscription, which I was surprised by. I shared a social media on there and offered a discount. It's slowly coming along, which is crazy, takes time, and fun when I have the time to d...

I finally got my logo!! With me, nothing is ever perfect, so I can't say I love everything about it, but it is pretty good for what I was looking for. I adapted the colors of my website to fit my logo and I have been slowly making more and more edits to my website. I'm pretty happy with how things are turning out and I know I still have a lot of tweaking to go. Slow and steady wins the race, right?     I thought about adding some title headlines with discounts, but my current prices would need to be upped a little to have me afford those discounts. One thing I changed on my website that I learned from a reading this week was change the images on my website to make sure their eyes and faces were looking in the direction of where I want people to focus their attention on. I have sought out for advice from others, so much so that a few family members need a break from me talking business. I'm thinking about making a random Facebook posts that asks more ...

This week, I finally committed to hiring someone to create my logo. I am a bit nervous, but proud of myself for making the step. My cheap self tried using friends to help me, but that failed pretty badly and I felt guilty and defeated. I was a little cheap on who I chose and the package, but I did find someone a little more expensive so I could get better quality. I haven't seen the results yet, but worse comes to worse, I will suck it up and get someone else to help me if I'm able to create any business.      I also updated my website's schedule for when clients sign up, slowly started cleaning up the website, and creating a to do list, along with a weekly checklist.     For my class assignments, we worked on conversion tracking and optimizing our google ads. The second part of the week was definitely a lot easier and went a lot smoother for me. The first half of the week was a big struggle. I do have plans to go back, review, and...

This week we talked about quality score in relation to Google Ads. We went over the attributes that it takes to have good quality scores and have a decrease in your quality score. Furthermore, there was a video I looked over that also mentioned myths about things that don't have an effect on ones quality score. Some things that do effect it are the landing page, having your site good for various devices (phones, laptops, tablets, etc), and making sure you're able to deliver to others what they are in search for (also known as having good relevance).     The other thing that had instructions that confused me and I wasn't super clear on. It had to do with setting up your google analytics and connecting it with your google ads. I was successful in doing this, but the assignment instructions weren't layout very clearly.     We also had a discussion board that we were required to participate in that followed the assignments on the ...

Not much happened this week, and I didn't do as much on my own as I usually would. It was nice to step back and let myself take a little break from this project. With me, I know that stepping back from things and then returning usually refreshes my brain and helps me see a new perspective.     However, this week we did do more things with google ads. We looked at headlines and descriptions. Your headlines refresh in different orders and cycles through the different ones, depending on how many headlines you pit down. When I filled that section out, I followed some suggestions that google provided me, with some critics of mine on top of that.     In our discussion board, we submitted what we put for our headlines and descriptions and helped our fellow students out by giving them advice/ our opinions on what they put. It'll be interesting to see if when I do this, if I'll keep the same information as what I put down this week.

The two things that were focused upon this week in our course was google ads and keywords that associate with that. It was cool to see different tutorial examples and follow along with that. I feel like my understanding of these two topics has grown and I am more confident in being able to set these things up on my own.      My big thing right now is how far do I jump into the water? We are going through all the motions, but am I ready to be serious? I pushed taking this class until I had a business ready in mind, so I'm taking this class specifically for the benefit of my business, and to complete my certificate.      I bought the domain of my website and paid to have it published. I can pay for ads, get an LLC, pay for help on my logo (friend help wasn't very helpful), get a bank account, get a virtual office, talk to a lawyer, and really try to get this ball running. I just don't know how much income it'll bring m...
